Hey there,
Welcome to the Vanier First Aid Team Blog page. My name is Najran and I am a Health Science student. I will be a writer of several posts here this semester.

A little about me...
First, I would like to say how glad I am to be writing for this blog.
I’m 18 years old and for as long as I can remember, my dream job has been to be a doctor. I have always been fascinated with human biology and admired the job of a physician. I never hesitate to help those around me and I am always glad to do it. The main reason why I decided to join the VFAT is because I want to make a difference in people’s wellness. I also want to learn more about healthcare and share my findings with others. Finally, I believe that the Vanier First Aid Team will help me to understand the duty of a healthcare provider better and achieve my life long dream of being a doctor.
I consider myself as a caring, honest and meticulous person with a strong desire to discover new things. One of my hobbies is to create art. It has always helped me relax my mind and learn more efficiently. The path to becoming a doctor can often be very stressful. After all, health is a state of both mental and physical well-being.
Some Facts about First Aid care
The three C’s : Check the surroundings, Call for help, Care for the victim’s health until help arrives
The three P’s : Preserve life, Prevent Deterioration and Promote Recovery.
Pulling debris out of your body can cause more damage, more blood loss and infection.
Ice should only be used for acute injuries like a sprain or fracture
To help someone breathe, turn them sideways in the recovery position.

Promote blood flow to the brain when someone faints

So that’s it for today’s post! I look forward to writing about first aid care and sharing my knowledge with all of you.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post.
Until next time :)
Very informative and thanks for introducing yourself, Najran!
