WE GOT THIS ! 💪

Today, we will talk about a very important subject : MENTAL HEALTH

The coronavirus is causing an unprecedented increase in mental health problems. In reality, not being able to see friends and family is causing people's mental health to deteriorate.

Mental health awareness should not be limited to a single day, week, or even month. We need to be aware of it because it could easily happen to anyone we know. Mental health stigma is reduced when the community is conscious of it. Early intervention, which may result in a quick recovery, is more likely when people are aware of mental health issues.

Here are some of the actions YOU CAN DO do promote health awareness

  • Talk with everyone you know,

  • Open up about your experience,

  • Encourage kind language,

  • Educate yourself about mental illness,

  • Coordinate a mental health screening event,

  • Volunteer,

Here are some of the signs of mental illness

  • Long-lasting sadness or irritability.

  • Extremely high and low moods.

  • Excessive fear, worry, or anxiety.

  • Social withdrawal.

  • Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits.

If you struggle from a mental health illness here are some steps you can take:

  1. Go seek help from a therapist or find someone that you trust and that you can talk to.

  2. Listen to motivational videos (i.e. Fearless Motivation is a good one)

  3. Read books

  4. Find support groups, share your story with others who are going through a similar situation

WE CAN ALL DO IT;

WE JUST NEED TO BELIEVE IN OURSELVES!

AS ALWAYS STAY SAFE :)
